Job Description

Part-time student opportunities allow undergraduate and graduate students to schedule their work around their classes.  These roles are available in both the office, customer service centers, and in the production environment.  This program will allow students to gain experience working in a business/manufacturing environment while maintaining their full time academic commitments.

This part time work can be done throughout the student’s matriculation at college/university with the options for extended work hours during the summer months.  Student are eligible for part time opportunities after the completion of their freshman year and can work until graduation.  Students must be within a commutable distance of the Southwire location to participate in the Part Time Student Program.



  • Assist the AR team in the day to day process of managing Accounts Receivable.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Discrepancy Specialist, Analyst, Sales team, and our customers to resolve open invoices and discrepancy balances
  • Help manage dedicated mailboxes as assigned
  • Obtain documentation and additional information from customers or sales to support customer payment deductions
  • Update documentation, texts, notes as required/necessary
  • Develop and run reports as needed 
  • Analyze and review accounts for patterns and trends regarding payments and/or deductions
  • Other tasks as assigned by AR Lead or AR Management


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Must be enrolled in a local University or Technical school working towards a business-related degree.
