Job Title: Professional Staff Specialist - Engineering/Production Operations

Department: Human Resources - Talent Acquisition

Report To: Manager, Talent Acquisition



Southwire is seeking an experienced Professional Staffing Specialist - Engineering/Production Operations who will be responsible for high-volume, full recruitment cycle from creating job postings through employment offers and onboarding; with responsibility for both hourly and salaried roles within a manufacturing environment. This incumbent will be sourcing and recruiting, and ensuring all positions are filled in alignment with company culture, and in a timely manner.


Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process for technical and non-technical candidates ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • Typically handles 15+ requisitions simultaneously; with a goal of 200+ placements per year.
  • Responsible for interviewing prospective employees and evaluating candidates for employment
  • Support pipeline initiatives to develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of employment needs
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Participate in college recruiting initiatives when required
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition
  • Actively involved in the internal recruitment process
  • Create and implement employment marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring manager, business leaders and HR Business partners


Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate or agency recruiting for engineering and production operations experience is required
  • Experience in full life cycle, high volume professional staffing
  • A strong understanding and demonstrated experience interfacing and recruiting in all levels of an organization from entry level production to senior level executives
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR recruiting processes and practices, (compensation, EEO laws, interviewing skills, sourcing strategies, HRIS, internet, social media)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours beyond regular schedule
  • Occasional travel to outside locations for career fair activities
