Job Summary

Manages the optimization of safety and service delivery across multiple functions and customer segments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Develops tactical and operational plans to improve safety, service efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance. Ensures safety, quality and consistency in service operations by monitoring performance, managing resources, and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advises management and team members on operational strategies, identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the area while ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals and overall strategy.
  • Coordinates processes and assignments within the team, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, resources are properly allocated, and tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Defines project terms and manages team execution by overseeing multiple projects or operations within the area, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
  • Ensures compliance and quality by monitoring performance metrics, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions to ensure all operational procedures meet both industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Evaluates performance by setting performance benchmarks, conducting regular assessments, and making adjustments to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety within the area.
  • Establishes strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and collaboration in achieving operational and business objectives. Engages with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
  • Implements strategies and improvements by developing and rolling out new systems or procedures designed to enhance team productivity and meet operational goals. Identifies and applies best practices within the area.
  • Directs workflow and resolves issues by ensuring that tasks are managed effectively, resources are optimized, and any challenges are promptly addressed. Works closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Hires and develops talent within the area, providing coaching, mentorship, and training to team members. Guides and supports professional growth while aligning individual objectives with the goals of the department.
  • Promote Southwire Safety Culture of Zero through coaching and engaging team members on Southwire's Safety policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Manages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
  • Required Education & Experience

    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience: 5-7 Years Field of Expertise: Utility Industry

    Preferred Education & Experience

    Licenses/Certificates: Journeyman Lineman License, OSHA 30 Years of Experience: 8-11 Years
