Southwire Job Description

We're looking for a visionary and strategic leader to fill the Director role at our Innovation Hub. As the 
Director, you'll collaborate across all business verticals and functional areas at Southwire and engage 
with Domain Experts to understand their strategic needs and mandates. Your role involves integrating 
cutting-edge solutions through design thinking, leveraging the latest methods and toolkits. You'll lead the 
scoping and planning of projects and workshops that inform the future, potential disruption and 
disruption opportunities, with a dedicated team. Cultivating an innovation-centric culture within the hub

Key Responsibilities
1.     Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to drive the innovation agenda, aligning with 
organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
2.    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with different business verticals, functional areas
and Domain Experts to understand their unique needs and integrate innovative solutions.
3.    Process and Procedure Establishment: Develop and implement effective processes and procedures 
withing the hub to streamline innovation workflows, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
4.    Technology Scoping and Integration: Stay abreast of the latest software and hardware tools, 
incorporating them into the hub's operations to enhance innovation capabilities.
5.     Workshop Planning: Scope, plan and execute workshops and facilitations for creative, problem-solving, 
and cross-functional collaboration.
6.    Team Leadership: Manage a dedicated team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful 
execution of innovation initiatives.
7.     Budget Preparation: Along with the leaders of the Domains, take ownership of budget preparation for 
the innovation hub, ensuring resources are allocated strategically to maximize impact.
8.    Operations: Collaboratively, manage the Spark Innovation Hub operations with a focus on budget, 
value to the business and financial discipline using lean principles.
9.    Representation: Represent the Spark internally and externally with a multitude of stakeholders 
including business & functional leaders, external partners and institutions.

 

Education, Experience, and Skills 

Required
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Years of Experience: 10+
Field of Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within an innovation hub. Additionally, practical involvement with startups, technology companies, and academic institutions is a must. - At least 2 years of managing all functions of an innovation hub is essential.

Preferred
Minimum Education Level: Master's
Years of Experience: 3+
Preferred Field of Expertise: Business Administration
