Job Summary

The position will participate in the execution of corporate-wide accounting initiatives in support of the company's objectives.  It will support the accounting for cash and / or lease accounting, assist in the preparation of journal entries, prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations, and assist with various other month-end close tasks, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and / or financial statement preparations, and year-end audit deliverables as needed.  Finally, the position will support the accounting close processes and related reconciliations for various corporate functional departments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assesses and oversees financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and financial policies.
  • Acts as a senior resource for the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, troubleshooting complex accounting issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices in financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with company policies and reconciliation standards.
  • Implements processes to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency, driving improvements in financial systems, procedures, and technology. Ensures continuous optimization of financial operations.
  • Manages accounting activities involving foreign currency transactions, including revaluations and analysis to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to influence business strategy, ensuring alignment between financial operations and broader organizational objectives.
  • Ensures the integrity of financial processes, coordinating audits, and ensuring the accurate and timely submission of required regulatory filings.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support month‑end close activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established close timelines.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring audit‑ready support for assigned accounts and processes.
  • Support the research, analysis, and application of U.S. GAAP for new or amended accounting standards and non‑routine transactions, ensuring consistent and compliant accounting treatment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Degree:  Accounting, Business or Finance

Years of Experience: 3 or more in Accouting

Preferred Education & Experience

Master's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance

Experience with Consolidations and/or auditing 

Experience with currency exchange 

Years of Experience: 8 - 11 Years 

Licenses/Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
