Job Summary

Plays a critical role in the managing, optimizing, and enabling the infrastructure that supports data collection, storage, and processing. Ensures data quality availability across systems, in alignment with data security, privacy regulations, and data governance policies. Deep expertise in data engineering principles, advanced proficiency in programming technologies, optimization, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assesses data infrastructure and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and scalability.
  • Designs systems to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Develops more complex data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows to meet organizational needs.
  • Implements processes to enhance data quality, governance, and security across systems.
  • Confers with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives and resolve data-related challenges.
  • Integrates diverse data sources into cohesive systems for improved accessibility and analytics.
  • Improves existing data engineering practices by adopting innovative tools and methodologies.
  • Helps establish and implement standards and best practices for data engineering within the organization.
  • Coaches junior team members by providing technical guidance and mentorship to enhance their data engineering skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Required Education & Experience

    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

    Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

    Preferred Education & Experience

    Minimum Education Level: Master's degree

    Licenses/Certificates: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer, or AWS Certified Data Analytics
