Job Summary

The Director of Finance - Group Controller will serve as the lead controller for all plants in the R&C (Residential and Commercial) group.This position will provide functional leadership in driving financial results, performance analysis and timely closing and reporting per the corporate closing schedule. The position will support all R&C plants, leading implementation in best practices and constant improvement in financial reporting to business leaders.The Group Controller will ensure that all financial and accounting policies are consistently and accurately implemented and reported with strict adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will be a key partner to R&C VP Manufacturing and VP Manufacturing Finance to drive efficiency, profitability and output growth.

Key Responsibilities

•    Financial Reporting & Analysis – Provide timely, insightful, and relevant analysis of financial results on a period and ad hoc basis to R&C manufacturing and operations leadership.  Responsible for monthly close out.  
•    Annual Operating Plan – Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including but not limited to the development and review of department level budgets and the subsequent roll-forward of standard costs.  
•    Develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.  Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly financial reporting reviews.
•    Capital Planning and Expenditure Tracking – Oversee long and short range capital investment analysis.  Work with leadership to build capital investment plans to ensure they have been completed in accordance with Company policy, meet financial return models and assumptions. Provide management with capital requirement forecasts/projections as requested. 
•    Provide oversight to inventory transactions and accuracy in support of inventory control and corporate auditing.
•    Business Influence – This role is an integral part of the R&C manufacturing decision-making process.  The Group Controller will be expected to regularly contribute recommendations on how the R&C manufacturing team might become more efficient and effective and then follow those recommendations through to a logical conclusion.
•    Lead and support key initiatives and special projects driven by Operations and/or Corporate

Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Years of Experience: 8+ years
Field of Expertise: Accounting or Finance

Preferred Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Master's
Certificates: Certified public accountant, or certified management accountant.
Years of Experience: 12+ years

Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates:
• Progressively responsible positions with a demonstrated track record of accountability and achievement.
• Strong managerial presence that reflects a hands on, participative operating style. Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with various SAP and SAP Business Objects financial reporting tools preferred.
• Possess a high level of confidence combined with the ability to build strong internal relationships while maintaining a collaborative style.
