Job Tile: Manager, Operations (Compounding)

Department: Electrical Manufacturing

Location: Carrollton, GA

Reports To: Director, Materials

 

Summary

In support of OPS culture, provide leadership to all areas responsible for manufacturing within respective facility. Develop systems, methods, and practices to safely manufacture a quality product at a competitive price. Interface with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvements in the manufacturing process within an OPS structure

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

Daily leadership for manufacturing operations. Strong passion for OPS principles and culture is a must.

Key areas of responsibility are Safety, Quality, Material Usage

Manufacturing Throughput and Waste Minimization.

Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and ensures positive work environment.

Implement training programs to support goals of continuous improvement.

Interface with Materials Management for all plants to establish priorities and sequences for compounding products.

Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and delays.

 

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related engineering field along with 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detailed working knowledge of rubber, nylon, and PVC compounding processes and equipment is preferred

Excellent P.C. Skills including Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint

Must have clear understanding of OPS principles and applications.

Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills required.
