Key Responsibilities
• Advise on available pricing levers to drive category performance, profitability and compliance with business initiatives and directives, utilizing future and existing systems to execute strategic pricing priorities.
• Support corporate level pricing initiatives throughout the organization and be an advocate for implementing the best pricing practices across the portfolio of categories and provide guidance and support as part of the team.
• Oversee the daily governance, maintenance and analytics of system loaded pricing
• Coordinate with the sales teams on a market relevant target price with a system driven amount of discretion at the sales level to make discount decisions based on set tiers.
• Gather and analyze data and provide actionable pricing guidance to the business groups for maximum margin potential
• Identify underperforming products by analyzing past sales and market level pricing, if applicable, and adjusting to maximize profit margins.
• Manage price change execution. Perform analysis to measure the effectiveness of price changes and recommend corrective action if necessary.
• Capture and organize market intelligence to improve pricing guidance, also tracking wins / losses against competition by scale, products, and geography.
• Manage pricing practices within SAP and support IT projects on special project teams, integration tasks, and system enhancement implementations
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
Years of Experience: 5+
Field of Expertise: experience in wire and cable sales, finance, accounting, product management or related field
Preferred Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Master's
Specialized Degree: Business administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Years of Experience: 3+ (with Master's)
Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates: • The ability to identify and justify opportunities for pricing changes.
• Knowledge of products, markets, customers, strategies.
• Must possess excellent communications, organization, presentation, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including PowerPoint and Word with an emphasis in Excel
• Knowledgeable of SAP, Celonis and Salesforce
