We are looking for a detail-oriented Network Security Administrator to join the Southwire Enterprise Information Security Team.  The Network Security Administrator is responsible for the implementation & maintenance of various security technologies, securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and performing vulnerability testing and risk assessment of existing and new technology systems to protect technology resources.   A Southwire Network Security Administrator helps too, monitor, implement, maintain, audit, and improve cybersecurity for enterprise technology systems. 


A successful candidate will have strong written & oral communication skills and be comfortable working alongside both technical and non-technical professionals to cultivate a culture of security awareness and security by design.  This individual will be a member of the cyber incident response, mergers and acquisitions, and IT risk management teams as well as acting as an information security liaison to the business for special projects and initiatives. 
This position requires up to 20 percent travel to domestic & international sites. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing & reviewing risk assessments on existing or new systems and recommending security improvements.
  • Creating and maintaining security documents as needed
  • Leading penetration testing to locate and remediate network vulnerabilities.
  • Establishing security procedures and conducting audits.
  • Reviewing and performing risk assessments on existing or new systems and recommending security improvements.
  • Consulting with staff, managers, and executives about security best practices and providing technical advice.
  • Implementing, administering, and troubleshooting security solutions.


Requirements:

  • Good teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • An associate's or bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems discipline, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of network engineering or administration experience.
  • Possess at least 2 of the following certifications - CCNA, CCNP, or Security +.
  • Have a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, various firewalls, and core networking principles such as routing/switching.
  • Be part of an on-call rotation.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
