Job Description

Part-time positions provide undergraduate and graduate students the flexibility to schedule work around their classes. These roles are available in office settings, customer service centers, and production environments. This program offers students valuable experience in a business and manufacturing environment while maintaining full-time academic commitments. Part-time work can continue throughout a student’s college or university enrollment, with the option to increase hours during summer months. Students become eligible for part-time opportunities after completing their freshman year and may work until graduation. To participate, students must live within a commutable distance of the Southwire location.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and setup IT equipment for production and warehouse locations
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues 
  • Coordinate with remote site contacts about their production needs
  • Complete tickets in IT helpdesk ticketing system
  • Carry assigned projects to completion on time

Requirements

  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
  • Excellent listening, communcation, and written skills
  • Energetic and passionate with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment
  • Great customer service
