Long Description
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced data analytics and reporting solutions that leverage traditional SAP BW tools and the next-generation capabilities of SAP Datasphere and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics. This role requires an individual with solid business knowledge across Finance, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver insights that support data-driven decisions across various departments, ensuring optimal data management and reporting practices.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling and Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex data models using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere to support business reporting needs, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics views and reports, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules and tools, ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various source systems into SAP BW, SAP Datasphere and non-SAP Products like Snowflake. Create Custom CDS Views and l queries within the S/4HANA environment to support real-time analytics.
Reporting and Visualization: Develop and optimize custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs using SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics tools. Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and design intuitive, interactive dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
Ensure the timely delivery of accurate and consistent data through a combination of traditional and embedded reporting techniques. Utilize SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced visualization and reporting solutions.
Business Collaboration and Requirement Gathering: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT department for all SAP-related reporting and analytics needs. Lead requirements gathering sessions to capture the business’s reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide end-user support and training for SAP BW, Datasphere, and S/4HANA reporting tools to enhance business user capabilities.
System Performance and Optimization: Monitor the performance of SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics systems, ensuring data retrieval and reporting processes are efficient and scalable. Identify opportunities for improving system performance and ensuring reporting solutions remain optimized for real-time analytics. Troubleshoot issues related to data models, ETL processes, and report generation, working closely with technical teams to resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with the latest developments in SAP BW/4HANA, Datasphere, S/4HANA, and Embedded Analytics to ensure the business is leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Proactively recommend and implement new tools, methodologies, and practices to improve data management and analytics processes. Champion best practices in data governance, security, and quality control to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the organization’s data assets.
Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance and technical leadership to junior analysts and other team members on best practices for SAP BW, Datasphere, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics. Lead cross-functional data projects and contribute to strategic initiatives focused on expanding the organization's analytics capabilities. Drive innovation and collaboration within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Master's degree, preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience
Solid business knowledge across Finance, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operation
The ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver insights that support data-driven decisions across various departments, ensuring optimal data management and reporting practices.
Development, and reporting across complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience in creating Custom CDS Views, Analytical Queries, and leveraging S/4HANA Embedded Analytics for real-time reporting.
Proven track record in working with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights
Experience in managing both offshore teams and external vendor teams.
Proficiency in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Experience or knowledge of programming in ABAP, SQL, JAVA Script, HTML
Expertise in CDS Views, ABAP, SQL, and data integration technologies.
Knowledge of S/4HANA, Fiori Apps, and HANA modeling.
Strong understanding of integrating SAP (Concur, IBP, SuccessFactors, etc.) and Non-SAP’s SaaS solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring junior team members and driving team success.
