Job Summary
The position will participate in the execution of corporate-wide accounting initiatives in support of the company’s objectives. It will support the accounting for cash, assist in the preparation of journal entries, prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations, and assist with various other month-end close tasks, quarterly reporting, and year-end audit deliverables as needed. Finally, the position will support the accounting close processes and related reconciliations for various corporate functional departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the cash accountant and be prepared to perform all cash related activities when necessary
- Manage end to end Blackline administration and end user training on new and existing processes
- Support and assist accounting and finance teams in researching and analyzing account balances and activity
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
- Complete journal entries timely and accurately for month end close
- Maintain accurate and timely account reconciliations
- Support understanding and compliance with US GAAP and Southwire internal control procedures to assure the achievement of company objectives
- Involvement in special projects as required for process improvement and efficiency
- Capable of working in a timeline driven environment while providing accurate information
- Assist business leadership in the preparation and management of annual departmental budgets
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Accounting, Business or Finance
Years of Experience: 2-4 years
Preferred Education & Experience

Certificates: CPA
Years of Experience: 5-7 years
Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates:
• Accounting and Finance experience within a multi-billion-dollar organization
• Strong broad-based knowledge and experience in accounting, financial reporting, and accounting systems
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills coupled with a rigorous decision-making process
• Ability to identify and initiate process improvement to maximize efficiency through projects
