Long Description
Project 1: Spark Detection System Integration
The Electrical Engineering Intern implemented a streamlined integration of the spark‑detection error monitoring system into the production line. Previously, each error detection machine required engineering support for configuration, causing unnecessary downtime during replacements. The intern redesigned the wiring architecture so the spark detector could be directly connected to the main line, enabling maintenance personnel to swap units without any additional setup. They also modified the PLC(Programmable logic controller) logic to support the new plug‑and‑play configuration and updated the associated electrical prints to reflect the revised control architecture. This upgrade improved system reliability, reduced downtime, and simplified long‑term maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Integrated a spark‑detection error monitoring system into the main production line to enable plug‑and‑play replacement and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Performed electrical wiring, panel work, and system connections to support seamless field installation.
- Updated PLC logic and control sequences to accommodate redesigned detection workflow.
- Revised electrical schematics and documentation to reflect new system architecture and ensure maintenance accuracy.
Project 2: Machine Relocation & AutoCAD Update
The Electrical Engineering Intern supported the relocation of a production machine by validating its physical dimensions and ensuring proper placement at the new site. They measured the existing machine, compared those measurements with outdated drawings, and updated the AutoCAD documentation to accurately reflect the equipment’s real‑world dimensions. The intern also surveyed the proposed installation area, confirming that the machine would fit and identifying any spatial or clearance concerns. Their work ensured a smooth relocation process and reduced the risk of installation issues.
Responsibilities:
· Conducted detailed field measurements of production equipment to verify and correct existing engineering documentation.
· Updated AutoCAD drawings to reflect accurate machine dimensions and layout details.
· Evaluated the proposed installation area by measuring clearances and validating spatial fit for safe machine relocation.
· Collaborated with engineering and maintenance teams to support planning and execution of equipment moves.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
