Job Description
Job Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, an Electronic Technician-I installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs automated systems, PLCs, Drives, Motors or industrial equipment. They troubleshoot electrical/mechanical components, ensure system efficiency, and read technical schematics to minimize downtime. Minimum requirements include an associate degree or technical training, certification a plus, strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Install, calibrate, and repair automated machinery, control panels, and field devices (sensors, motors, photo eyes).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Drives, and 480V 3-phase systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of, repairs, and updates to wiring diagrams and system documentation. Utilization of CMMS system, SAP.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all machinery and systems comply with industry safety regulations and electrical codes.
Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma
Years of Experience:1-3
Field of Expertise: Electrical Controls

Specialized Degree: Associates or Technical School

Other Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of AC / DC electrical circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics, and motors. Siemens and Allen Bradley knowledge.
- Ability to edit, change or programming PLC’s and drives.
