Pay Rate: $33.82 – $34.87

Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Level I Maintenance Technician, you will support our manufacturing operations by providing corrective and preventive maintenance activity with a focus on improving equipment reliability and maintainability. 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field is strongly preferred
  • Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and other safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including reading schematics, using multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, track time, and log parts usage in real-time
  • Strong Mechanic background is expected
  • 2-year Technical Degree desired
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs and work in awkward positions, in excessive heat and on your feet for up to 12 hours a day.

PRIMARY JOB TASKS: 

  • Act as the first responder to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, and repairing mechanical/electrical failures on production lines, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic tools.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, will be expected to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, replace, assemble, install, relocate, and modify complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Positive attitude with ability and willingness to be a Team Player
  • Desire and willingness to give input to grow the Department in all Business Acumen/Goals
  • Must provide/complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner with a minimum of time and expense to the company
  • Must follow prescribed safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others and to maintain safe equipment and conditions in entire plant
  • Continued growth through knowledge of all established procedures and operating standards. Expectation to be current/pass all testing given by Company/Assignees
  • Must maintain a safe and clean Shop and working areas under 5-S
  • Perform other tasks/requests as assigned by supervisor
  • Working conditions: constantly exposed to fairly high levels of noise, frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, occasional climbing. Lifting up to 45 lbs. Some activities may require incumbent to exert up to 100 lbs of force to move objects.

QUALITY: 
Maintain an attitude of learning to stay current with maintenance procedures and equipment. 
Complete an annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and perform assigned training activities based on assessment results.

SAFETY: 
Report all accidents, incidents, injuries and unsafe acts or conditions, immediately to the supervisor. 
Must follow prescribed safety procedures to prevent injury and maintain safe equipment and conditions in entire plant. 

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: 
Ability to meet the physical requirements of working safely in an industrial maintenance environment. 
Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
