Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through directed Cycle Counting, researching discrepancies, implementing corrective actions and ensuring completion of corrective actions.
  • Perform material counts.
  • Verify reported inventory vs. against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
  • Audit product transfers and receipts for PO accuracy and adherence to DFW CSC specifications.
  • Investigate and report back on customer reported errors internally to 11th St. Purchasing Department.
  • Generate bar code labels and label product for ID purposes.
  • Perform Inventory control transactions and report major discrepancies to Operations Manager.
  • Cross train for a variety of supervisory and clerical roles in the warehouse and ability to fill in as needed.

    
ENVIRONMENTAL/SAFETY:

  • Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules/procedures in an effort to prevent injury to self and others. 
  • Seek the assistance and advice of safety representatives on matters concerning safe practices, policies and/or procedures and provide support for all safety committee activity. 
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.    
  • Report environmental and safety policy violations to supervision/management. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normal warehouse working conditions, shift schedule may vary. 
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.  
  • Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 50-75 pounds. 
  • Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.  

    
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
  • Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and write legibly.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions explicitly.
  • Judgments concerning operation of department are encountered.
  • Must have outstanding work habits.  
  • Must be familiar with warehouse operating systems.
  • Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily.
  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Must have good attendance record and cannot have an active final written warning disciplinary status.
