Job Description

Responsibilities

 

1.    Training and Development:
•    Provide hands-on training for new team members or those newly assigned.
•    Identify, train, support, and encourage team members interested in becoming trainers.
•    Develop and support the qualified designated trainers at the DFW CSC.
•    Responsible for most new hire orientation documentation and training.
•    Understand and support the TWI, Training within industry, method and Idea model
•    Implement, facilitate, supervise, and document DFW CSC training programs.
•    Maintain training records and inventory of training materials.
•    Create SWIs and SOPs as needed.
•    Conduct audits to ensure that standard work and training guides are being followed.

2.    Safety and Compliance:
•    Demonstrate safe and quality-conscious work habits.
•    Promote the Culture of Zero Safety and Quality Initiatives.
•    Instruct team members on potential hazards and safety procedures.
•    Take prompt corrective actions when unsafe conditions or human errors are noted.
•    Promote safety awareness 

3.    Process Improvement:
•    Assist in troubleshooting and eliminating process issues.
•    Develop and demonstrate the ability to use lean tools from the Southwire Toolkit.
•    Participate in Lean activities as needed
•    Learn and implement strategies to meet or exceed ISO standards.
•    Actively participate in the DHP process and conduct huddles as needed.

4.    Communication and Collaboration:
•    Project a positive image of Southwire leadership, products, and team members.
•    Foster a positive work environment by maintaining open communication with all site leadership and team members of the CSC.
•    Assist Leadership in identifying training needs.

5.    Additional Responsibilities:
•    Be flexible and willing to accept responsibilities outside the traditional scope.
•    Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly.
•    Assist Site Leadership in achieving company and facility goals.
•    Foster a positive learning environment.
•    Obtain a minimum of a White Belt in Lean Six Sigma Certification.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) 
•    Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
•    Must have good P.C. Skills. 
•    Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Extreme willingness to learn and be open-minded to new processes and ideas.
•    Self-starter with a consistently positive attitude, excellent attendance record, and good presentation skills.
•    Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills required.
