Job Summary/Objective

Quality Specialist is responsible for managing the sub-processes related to quality within the site value stream. Development of a quality culture that supports and aligns with the Culture of Zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilization of lean tools, LSW, problem solving huddles and DHP in support of the value stream
  • Development and implementation of corrective actions resulting from problem solving huddles
  • Evaluation of quality KPIs to ensure the correct metric is being tracked as well as alignment with corporate initiatives
  • Verification of process improvements derived from implemented problem solving corrective actions
  • Ownership of quality culture, functions, and talent development 
  • Responsible for managing escalated quality concerns involving the CDR team, sales, and product manager. 
  • Collaboration with other site quality support as well as functional support to ensure consistency of best practices within the CSCs. 
  • Development/Sustainment of the site’s quality culture in support of the Culture of Zero. 
  • Complete new hire training with all new employees on their first week.
  • Provide monthly site review to all employees and leadership 
  • Partner with supervision to provide employee feedback related to performance

Education and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in distribution, logistics, business administration or related degree
  • 5+ years directly related experience in distribution management or related field preferred.
  • A working knowledge of warehouse systems is required.
  • Ability to function and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operating environment is critical.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills required. 
  • Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain.
  • Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers.
  • Must be PC literate and have a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
