Job Summary

Designs and engineers cables, associated components, and overall systems required to both secure new work
and deliver projects, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and reliability throughout. Supports Manufacturing
and Installation as required to ensure technical surety during each step of project delivery. Acts as a technical
consultant towards customers and supports sales as necessary to assist in making the technical sale.

Key Responsibilities

Administers High Voltage Cable design, offering technical expertise in the development and implementation of complex electrical cable systems for High Voltage applications.
Designs and develops high voltage cable systems by creating detailed design specifications and providing direction for system integration, ensuring the best possible performance and efficiency.
Applies knowledge of electrical engineering principles to design solutions, including evaluating different designs, materials, and methods to meet project requirements and industry regulations.
Implements systems to optimize the cable design process, from initial concept through testing and final implementation, ensuring high reliability and performance in the field.
Coordinates externally with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on design specifications, materials, and timelines, and to address any technical issues that arise during the design and production phases.
Develops actionable insights by analyzing data from project execution, system performance, and field installations, and recommends improvements or adjustments based on findings.
Supports the completion of routine testing and performance evaluations of cable systems to ensure that all designs meet required specifications and standards.
Communicates with internal teams, external partners, and customers to ensure alignment on design expectations, project progress, and troubleshooting efforts.
Identifies opportunities to improve cable system designs and production methods, collaborating with senior engineers to implement process enhancements and resolve technical challenges.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Degree:  Electrical Engineering 

5-7 Years Experience 

 

Preferred Education & Experience

Master's degree

Specialized Degree: Electrical Engineering

8-11 Years Experience 

Licenses/Certifications:

Professional Engineering (PE)
