The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to provide valuable experience to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher. Our goal is to give students meaningful work that builds on what they are learning in the classroom. Our programs are project based. Job Description

Job Summary/Objective:
The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to help early career professionals bring together formal learning and

productive work to improve their ability to transition from school to work. Southwire provides interns and co-ops with

“real world” applications of their academic studies, helpful feedback and coaching, and consideration for employment

after graduation. Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of

study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.

Note: All new interns and co-ops must begin in the summer rotation.

Key Responsibilities
· Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and

will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work.

· You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational

leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.

· You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and

offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and

community service /volunteer initiatives.

· You will have the opportunity to impact the future of the organization, all the while being exposed to

a world-class program community.

· Finally, our rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities.

Long Description

Position Summary

This position will support the Integrated Marketing team within Southwire’s Industrial and OEM business division, with a strong focus on strategic vertical markets including data centers, telecom, electric vehicle (EV) solutions, and renewable energy. The intern will contribute to operational and campaign-driven marketing initiatives that enhance visibility, improve engagement, and strengthen Southwire’s presence in these high-growth verticals. The intern will play a key role in analytics—extracting, compiling, and interpreting marketing data to help inform decisions and measure the success of campaigns.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of marketing campaigns that align with Industrial & OEM strategic verticals, including data centers, telecom, EV, and renewable energy markets.
  • Extract, compile, and analyze campaign performance data to produce insights, dashboards, and summary reports.
  • Assist in building and optimizing marketing operations processes to improve campaign execution, tracking, and collaboration across teams.
  • Conduct research on vertical specific trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to support strategic planning.
  • Support coordination and development of marketing assets, templates, and operational materials used across campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners—including product management, sales, and digital teams—to ensure campaign alignment and data accuracy.
  • Perform additional marketing operations or campaign support tasks as needed based on evolving team priorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools
