Job Summary

Job Summary

Builds and manages a portfolio of small to mid size retail accounts in the Hardware Retail Channel by applying foundational sales and technical knowledge. Works semi-autonomously to support customers with their current business, work with sales agents to identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction. Receives moderate guidance on strategy while progressively building product expertise, understanding market dynamics, and developing trusted customer relationships. Applies standard procedures to evaluate options and recommend solutions in straightforward situations.

 

      •    Manage relationships with hardware channel customers and 2-step distributors across assigned territories.

      •    Serve as the primary liaison between retail buying teams, sales agencies, distributors, and internal cross-functional teams.

      •    Drive profitable growth through assortment recommendations, pricing management, promotional planning, account execution.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buying teams, distributors, and independent sales representatives.
Partner with customers to develop product assortment and merchandising recommendations based on category trends and market opportunities.
Manage pricing programs, promotional offers, rebate agreements, and margin optimization initiatives.
Coordinate with sales agents to identify growth opportunities and execute customer strategies.
Analyze sales performance, product mix, and market trends to make data-driven recommendations.
Resolve customer issues and coordinate with operations, customer service, marketing, and supply chain teams.
Support line reviews, new product launches, and assortment expansion opportunities.
Track competitive activity and provide market intelligence to support strategic decisions.
Communicates with internal departments such as logistics, credit, and technical support to ensure customer expectations are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Identifies opportunities to upsell or cross-sell within existing accounts by leveraging product knowledge and client interactions to suggest value-added solutions.
Documents all sales activities, customer feedback, and account updates using CRM systems to maintain accurate records and support forecasting.
Recommends enhancements to territory plans, sales processes, or customer resources based on firsthand observations and customer insights.
