Summary:
The Systems Specialist will drive automation improvements and provide support and guidance for the Connected Enterprise Platform. Manage project requirements and priorities related to data validation and system reporting so that projects are completed on schedule. Provide back-up for data mapping and visual reporting tools. Major system involvement with data and production planning tools in Advaris and to a lesser degree SAP.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze, and evaluate ideas from users to improve or develop new functionality for reporting.
• Coordinate with Leaders, VSM, quality, process and lean resources at each site to create new functionality to support continuous improvement in data automation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate available data in Connected Enterprise against Advaris, SAP or other system data
• Specify and document improvements in data structure and reporting tools.
• Participate in testing and debugging of new applications before they are rolled out to the sites.
• Lead the roll out and implementation of new functionalities related to data visualization.
• Document and maintain the business processes for Connected Enterprise reporting.
• Act as a liaison between ITS and Connected Enterprise team to prioritize and manage date needs for the platform.
• Provide day -to-day support and troubleshooting to users on Connected Enterprise platform tools.
• Support and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Support Engineering Manager on other assigned duties
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
• BS degree in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or combination of 4yr degree and 5 years of specific wire and cable experience.
• Experience with Advaris and SAP receiving station transaction analysis.
• Experience with SQL and Python desired
• A process oriented independent thinker with initiative.
• Knowledge of Southwire’s production processes and product planning.
• Creative and able to work independently with only general supervision.
• Possess strong leadership skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to effectively lead small groups.
• Able to travel approximately 40% of the time.
