Location: Starkville, MS Plant
Job Summary
Provide Industrial Engineering support and guidance for all Wire and Cable Operations. Interface with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvement and will work to ensure that Lean objectives are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and/or audit method standards for production activities, including proficiency in Ai (Artificial Intelligence)
• Develop and/or audit process documentation for machine capabilities and cycle time calculation processes, including proficiency in Ai (Artificial Intelligence)
• Analyze process capabilities and make improvement recommendations
• Perform time study observations to establish and/or validate production standards
• Understand standard cost and perform cost analysis and plant capabilities for new products, product changes, and product rationalization
• Participate in special projects as it relates to current initiatives within company or operations to leverage systems; examples include Master Data initiatives, support Integrated Business Plan implementation
• Work with a variety of systems including but not limited to SAP, CableBuilder, Advaris, and JIRA
• Gather, analyze, and evaluate ideas from manufacturing to improve or develop new functionality within materials management or production planning. Assist in creating useful reports from Ai, SAP and Advaris MES to support Materials Management.
• Capital project requests, justifications & capital expenditure reporting and analysis
• Support Continuous Improvement (CI) through participating in kaizen events
Required Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related Technology field
• Strong knowledge and expertise of Industrial Engineering methods and concepts
• Must have strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Must possess strong leadership skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent software skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, knowledge of Minitab is a plus.
